Educating Today, Developing Tomorrow's Leaders One Day At A Time
- August 1 Adopt-A-School Breakfast -Students and Teachers will attend the breakfast and share information about the implementation of The Leader in Me.
- August 9 Empowerment Day-Teachers will attend a day of professional development at Crestmont to learn more about The Leader in Me process.
- August 13 AMSTI training- Teachers will attend AMSTI training about our new math pilot to learn new strategies for teaching College and Career Ready Standards to students.
- August 14 INSTITUTE - Teachers and Staff attend beginning of the year professional development meetings at Crestmont.
- August 15 Professional Development - Special Education teachers attend a meeting at Hillcrest High School this morning. Charlotte Alvarez instructs teachers and staff at Crestmont about English Language Learner requirements at 1:00 PM.
- August 16 Professional Development- Teachers and Staff members meet in grade level teams to plan for the beginning of school.
- August 16 OPEN HOUSE- 5:00-6:00 PM - Students and Parents/Guardians are invited to visit new teachers and bring school supplies to the classroom.
- August 17 Teacher Work Day -Teachers and staff will be preparing materials for the beginning of school.
- August 20 First Day of School -Students return for the first day of the 2012-2013 school year. Classes begin promptly at 8:00 AM.
- August 23 Title I Parent Orientation- Parents/Guardians are invited to learn more about Title I processes at Crestmont. Please come to the library at 8:30 AM.
- August 28 Technology Training for Teachers/Staff-Robert Mayben from UA Technology in Motion will visit Crestmont today. He will be available during teacher planning times to train teachers and staff about using iPads with students.
- August 31 Fall Pictures- Students will have pictures made today by Bill Miller Photography. Picture proofs, prices, and guidelines for ordering prints will be sent home as soon as we receive them from Bill Miller Photography.
